The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) recently announced the Team India squad for the first two Tests against England. The series is part of the ongoing ICC World Test Championship and will begin on January 25.

India, coming off a successful two-Test series in South Africa, where they registered their first-ever Test win in Cape Town, will be looking to continue their winning momentum. On the other hand, England has struggled in India in recent years, with their last Test series win in the country dating back to 2012.

The five Test matches will be played on January 25 in Hyderabad, February 2nd in Visakhapatnam, February 15 in Rajkot, February 23 in Ranchi, and March 7 in Dharamshala.

The squad for the first two Tests was announced after consultations between BCCI selectors Ajit Agarkar, SS Das, and Salil Ankola, along with captain Rohit Sharma and coach Rahul Dravid. Rohit Sharma will lead the team and open the innings with Yashasvi Jaiswal. The batting lineup also includes Shreyas Iyer, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli. KL Rahul and Ishan Kishan have been named as the wicket-keepers for the two Tests.

In the spin department, R Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, and Akshar Patel have been included as all-rounders, while Kuldeep Yadav will be the lone specialist spinner. The fast-bowling contingent will be led by Mohammed Siraj and Jasprit Bumrah, with Mukesh Kumar also in the squad.

This announcement has generated a lot of excitement among cricket fans, as they eagerly await the start of the series. It will be interesting to see how the Indian team performs against England, and whether they can continue their winning streak.
